Member Assistance Advocate Program

The MOE Health & Welfare Fund Member Assistance Advocate Program is designed to provide members with more information about plan benefits. The Fund’s Member Assistance Advocate is Ms Julie Jelinek. Julie has been with the Fund office for over 12 years most of which as a supervisor in the claims department. Over the years some of you may have had the pleasure of speaking with Julie on the phone. Julie will be visiting all of the District offices regularly to hold meetings with members (both active and retired) and/or their spouses to explain the Fund’s benefits and how they work. These meetings will be informal and will provide members with a forum to ask general questions regarding the plan. You will receive an invitation in the mail to attend these meetings once they have been scheduled. In addition, Ms Jelinek will serve as a contact person for members with questions regarding the plan and their benefits. You can reach Julie during regular business hours at (708) 579-6672 or via e-mail at jjelinek@moefunds.com. Julie will also coordinate the Fund’s Health Line news letter to be distributed on a regular basis with updates on what’s new at the Fund as well as other general health information.
